SUPPORTING GOALS:

1. To strengthen Friends membership in each branch organization by:
• Assisting in the establishment and reformation of Friends groups for all branches
• Encouraging members to seek out individuals for the Federation and individual Friends groups who can fully participate in all Friends activities
• Supporting DCPL’s goal to give equal attention and maintenance to all branches, and
• Adding a Membership Officer position to the Federation of Friends Executive Committee

2. To raise awareness of the Federation by establishing relationships and, if applicable, partnerships with:
• The DCPL Foundation
• The DCPL Board of Trustees
• All Elected officials charged with the stewardship of the libraries including but not limited to ANC’s, civic organizations, local businesses, and schools as well as other community stakeholders.

3. To actively market the Federation by:
• Developing communication and marketing materials
• Improving the Federation website with timely updates, linkage to the DCPL website and encouraging more use and input
• Promoting Friends activities in the local media, DCPL Website and ALTAFF

4. Resource Development
• Identify sources of funding and other revenue streams
